It is said in Sanatan Dharma that everyone should apply tilak. There is a belief in Hinduism that all Hindus must apply tilak on the forehead. Scientists have also rightly suggested to apply tilak. It is said that there is a command cycle between the two eyebrows on the head. Applying tilak to this place every day touches the cycle. By doing this, this cycle is awakened. Due to its awakening, intellectual capacity increases and concentration increases. It is believed that tilak should always be applied on a day to day basis.
1 Monday: Each day is dedicated to some or the other deity. Monday is considered to be the day of Lord Shiva and the Moon. The moon is the lord of this day. The Moon has been called the causative planet of the mind. Tilak of white sandalwood should be applied on this day. It keeps the mind cool and calm by keeping the mind controlled. It is also believed that applying tilak of Bhasma on Monday gives special blessings to Shiva.
2 Tuesday: Tuesday is considered to be the day of Hanumanji. The planet Mars is believed to be the lord of Tuesday. Mars is a red colored planet hence it represents red color. It is believed that tilak of vermilion dissolved in red sandalwood or jasmine oil should be applied on this day. Applying this tilak increases energy and efficiency. This makes the day auspicious.
3 Wednesday : Wednesday is the day of Lord Ganesha and Mother Durga. Wednesday's planet lord is Mercury. On this day, applying tilak of dried vermilion enhances intellectual ability.
4 Thursday: Thursday is the day of Jupiter. This day is also considered as the day of Lord Dattatreya. Jupiter is the lord of this day. Yellow or white mixed yellow color is very popular on Jupiter. On this day, rubbing white sandal wood on a stone and adding saffron to it and applying tilak brings holy and positive thoughts to your mind. Due to which the day remains auspicious, as well as a solution to the financial problem.
5 Friday: Friday is the day of Laxmiji. Venus is the planet's lord of this day. Red sandalwood should be applied on this day. This relieves tension and increases physical comforts. If there is no red sandalwood on Friday, we can also apply sindoor.
6 Saturday: Saturday is dedicated to Bhairav, Shani and Yamaraja. Saturn is the planet owner of this day. Vibhuti, Bhasma or red sandalwood should be applied on Saturday. Bhairav is happy by applying it. This makes the day auspicious too.
7 Sunday: Sunday is the day of Lord Vishnu and Sun. The planets of this day are the masters are the Sun. Apply red sandalwood on this day. If there is no red sandalwood then apply Hari Chandan. This increases respect and brings fearlessness.
