Chandigarh: Navjot Singh Sidhu, former cricketer of Indian cricket team and former cabinet minister of Punjab, has been given a shock blow by his own party Congress. Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said about Sidhu that now there is no need in his party and in the state government.
Harish Rawat said that the command of Punjab Congress is in the hands of Sunil Jakhar and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has to decide whether to take him or not in Punjab Government. In such a situation, there is no vacancy in the party or government for Navjot Singh Sidhu. In such a situation, speculations are being made that Sidhu can return to BJP again.
BJP leaders are indicating this but Sidhu is still silent on this issue. Rahul Gandhi's Kisan Bachao rally started on Sunday from Moga in Punjab. Sidhu also attended this rally. But the next day on Monday, Navjot Singh Sidhu disappeared from Rahul's march. Sidhu did not attend the rally in Sangrur and Patiala.
Actually, Sidhu targeted the Punjab government from Rahul's platform. For this reason, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is said to be angry. Sources reveal that Sidhu was not invited to the rally on Monday.
Amidst all this, Punjab BJP leader and former Cabinet Minister Master Mohan Lal has claimed that the path of Navjot Singh Sidhu's return home is now clear and he will contest the 2022 elections for the coming year. Master Mohan Lal has claimed that negotiations are going on with Navjot Singh Sidhu on this issue to contest the 2022 election from BJP.
