Various people had claimed on social media that Sushant Singh Rajput was killed after his death. However, AIIMS's postmortem report has put an end to the suspicion of murder. In an interview after Sushant's death, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut said that if her claims about Sushant's death turned out to be false, she would return her Padma Shri award. Kangana blamed Bollywood's 'Nepotism Gang' for Sushant's death and claimed to have killed her. However, the AIIMS report made it clear that Sushant was not killed but committed suicide.
Actress Swara Bhaskar has indirectly targeted Kangana Ranaut's earlier statements. Swara tweeted, "Now both CBI and AIIMS have said that Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic death was due to suicide ... so some people should not have returned the award given by their government ??"
Talking about the final report submitted to the CBI, AIIMS Forensic Medical Board Head Dr. Sudhir Gupta told the news agency, "This is a case of death due to strangulation and suicide. Not a single mark was found on the body except a noose. There does not appear to have been any conflict on the body or clothes of the deceased." However, Sushant's family and fans are not satisfied with the AIIMS report. Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh has approached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the report submitted by AIIMS.
According to media reports, Vikas Singh has raised questions against the forensic report and termed the investigation as 'defective'. Vikas Singh has demanded before the CBI that they form a new team for forensic investigation. Importantly, Swara Bhaskar's tweet indirectly targeting Kangana came after Riya Chakraborty's bail was granted today. The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Riya Chakraborty on a bond of Rs 1 lakh and conditions for her to leave the country as well as submit her passport. Sushant Singh Rajput's death case came up against the angle of drugs during the investigation. The Bureau of Narcotics Control arrested Riya Chakraborty on September 8 in a drugs case. Riya has been lodged in Byculla jail for a month. In addition to Rhea, her brother Shovik has also been arrested in a drugs case. The Bombay High Court today granted bail to Riya but rejected her brother's bail.
