Reliance Industries on Friday said that the second quarter saw a 15% decline in net profit, while Jio had a silver lining. Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom company, posted a net profit of Rs 2,844 crore in the July-September quarter of the financial year 2020-21. The results for the second quarter, which ended on September 30, have tripled.
Profit rose 12.9%
last year, Reliance Jio net profit of Rs 990 crore during the same quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, Reliance Jio's net profit rose 12.9 per cent to Rs 2,844 crore in the September quarter. The company had a net profit of Rs 2,520 crore a quarter ago. Reliance Jio's revenue grew 5.6% on a quarterly basis. The company had revenue of Rs 16,557 crore in the June quarter. It rose to Rs 17,481 crore in the September quarter.
company's ARPU stood at Rs 145 per subscriber per month in the second quarter, according to a statement released by Geo, a 33% increase in revenue . Which was 140.3 in the previous quarter. Geo's operating revenue rose 33% to Rs 16,557 crore. According to the regulatory filing, the revenue was Rs 13,130 crore in the same period of 2019-20. Earlier, the net profit for the April-June quarter was Rs 2,520 crore. Which was 182.8 per cent higher than the previous year.
