PM Modi arrives in Gujarat on a two-day visit

 PM Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat on a two-day visit today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Gandhinagar on Friday morning to pay tribute to former Chief Minister of Gujarat Keshubhai Patel. PM Modi first arrived at his house and saluted him. Gujarat veteran leader Keshubhai Patel died on Thursday after suffering from shortness of breath.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep condolences over the death of Keshubhai Patel, saying that his life was dedicated to the development of the state and the empowerment of every Gujarati. He tweeted one after the other and expressed his grief. PM Modi tweeted sequentially and said, We are no longer the beloved and respected Keshubhai… I am very distressed and sad.

He was an outstanding leader who cared for every section of society. His life was devoted to the development of Gujarat and the empowerment of every Gujarati. Along with this, he also had a phone conversation with Bharat, son of Keshubhai Patel and expressed his condolences. He said that Keshubhai Patel has guided and prepared many young activists like me in his life, his death is an irreparable loss.

PM Narendra Modi further said that Keshubhai made several trips to Gujarat to strengthen the Jan Sangh and the BJP. He opposed the Emergency. Farmer welfare issues were closest to his heart. As MLA, MP, Minister or CM, he ensured that farmer friendly measures are passed. During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to launch several projects, including maritime air services between Kevadia and Ahmedabad.

Today he will inaugurate the Sardar Patel Zoological Park Jungle Safari which is located near the 182 meter tall statue of the Iron Man of India. Apart from this, the country's first seaplane service will be launched. The first Home Minister of independent India will also pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at the Statue of Unity.
