Pakistani minister admits 'Pulwama attack biggest success for Imran government'

New Delhi:
Pakistan's minister has acknowledged the role of the Imran Khan government in the Pulwama attack. The Pakistani minister on Wednesday admitted that the Pakistani government had a hand in the terrorist attack in Pulwama last year and termed the attack a great achievement of the Imran Khan government. Notably, 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the attack.

"We infiltrated India and killed," Fawad Chaudhry, a cabinet minister in the Imran Khan government, told the National Assembly. Our success in Pulwama is the success of the people under the leadership of Imran Khan. You and we are all part of this success. It is noteworthy that this is the first time that the Pakistani government has acknowledged his role in the Pulwama terror attack last year. On Dunya News on Wednesday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq spoke of fears in the Pakistani government in February last year. Chaudhary has claimed in his reply. Sadiq revealed that when External Affairs Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that India would attack Pakistan at 9 pm if Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhman was not released. Hearing this, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Pakistan's military chief, broke out in a sweat and his legs shook.

Last year, 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama. The Pakistani terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had recently filed a chargesheet in the Pulwama terror attack case alleging the role of the Pakistani government and ISI in the attack.
