Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati spoke openly on Thursday. He termed the alliance with Samajwadi Party as a big mistake in the last Lok Sabha elections. Addressing reporters on Thursday, Mayawati said that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, our party had aligned with the Samajwadi Party to fight communal forces.
But we did not get any benefit due to their family feud. Mayawati said that we made a big mistake by aligning with Samajwadi Party. We realized this. Mayawati has clearly said that in the coming Rajya Sabha elections in the state, we will beat the candidates of Samajwadi Party badly. For this, we will give all our strength.
For this, if we have to give our vote to the candidate of BJP or any other party, we will do that too. Along with this, Mayawati also announced the suspension of seven MLAs who revolted in the Rajya Sabha elections. On this day, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati also said that we formed an alliance to prevent the NDA from coming to power in the Lok Sabha elections. We formed an alliance with the Samajwadi Party, which had conspired to kill me during the tenure of its government.
Forgetting all this, we formed an alliance. After which Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was constantly saying that now that an alliance has been made, Behenji should withdraw the case on 2 June. This was the reason that the case had to be withdrawn.
Mayawati said that we saw the changing behavior of Samajwadi Party towards us after the result of Lok Sabha elections. We felt that we had made a big mistake by withdrawing the lawsuit against him on 2 June 1995 and we should not have joined hands with him. We should have thought a little deeper.
