The picture shows Kapil lying in a hospital bed with a simple smile on his face and at the same time showing his thumbs to reassure the fans that I am now healthy and normal. His daughter Amiya is also seen next to Kapil's bed in the picture.

Former India captain Kapil Dev, 72, was admitted to the emergency department at around 1pm on October 23 due to chest pain, sources at Fortis Escorts Hospital on Okhla Road in New Delhi said on Friday. Dr. Atul Mathur, head of the cardiology department, performed coronary angioplasty on his body on an emergency basis at midnight. He is currently in ICU. But much is stable. He will be released from the hospital in a couple of days.
