IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals Beat Royal Challengers Bangalore By 59 Runs

Delhi Capitals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by a huge margin of 59 runs on the strength of Kagiso Rabada's half-century after Marcus Stoinis' half-century, Prithvi Shaw's 42 runs.
In the 19th match of IPL13, Delhi gave RCB a huge target of 197 against which Royal Challengers Bangalore lost 9 wickets and managed only 137 runs. From Delhi, Kagiso Rabada took the most 4 wickets and played a key role in the team's victory.

Chasing a target of 197, RCB started their career in the third over with the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal (4). From here the team never got back into the match. RCB's batsmen struggled between wickets at regular intervals and increasing run rate pressure, scoring just 137 runs at the end of 20 overs.

RCB captain Virat Kohli decided to bat first after winning the toss. The Delhi openers slammed Kohli's decision and put up a 68-run partnership for the first wicket. Shaw hit 42 off 23 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes while Dhawan hit 32 off 28 balls. Captain Shreyas Iyer, who was batting after Shaw was dismissed for the first wicket, could not take advantage of this great start.

Devdutt Padikkal made his superb catch on the boundary. He was out for just 11 runs. Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis, who batted after Dhawan and Iyer were dismissed, put on an 89-run stand for the fourth wicket. Rishabh Pant scored 37 off 25 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes while Stoinis scored an unbeaten 53 off 26 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Delhi scored 106 runs in the final 9.3 overs. Mohammad Siraj was the most successful bowler from Bangalore and he took 2 wickets.
