New Delhi: The Dussehra festival was eclipsed by Corona this time, which is why the festival was celebrated with great simplicity across the country on Sunday. Following Kovid-19, this year did not see as much fanfare as before and the traditional burning of idols of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad was also canceled every year. Burning of idols was allowed in far fewer places than before. Wherever permission was granted, the corona was symbolically burnt this time instead of Ravana and it was prayed that the world would be liberated from this plague as soon as possible. Let's take a look at Dussehra programs across the country ...
Corona burning in Lucknow
In Delhi, huge idols of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad were cremated at Shastri Park. Before cremation, idols of Ravana and Kumbhakarna were erected in this manner.
In Sector-46, Chandigarh, 10 people worked hard for 20 days and made a 10-12 feet statue of Ravana. In fact, the Chandigarh administration had banned the Ravana Dahan program in view of Corona. That's why people decided not to hold the program, but young children were not allowed to do so. The administration had to bow to the persistence of the children, the hard work of the people and the sentiments of the people and approve the program. However, the largest Vijayadashami event in Chandigarh was canceled due to the Koro epidemic.
