Gayle scored a total of 8 sixes during this innings. By doing so, Gayle has completed 1000 sixes in T20 career.

Gayle became the first batsman in the world to do so in T20 cricket. He missed his century by one run and Joffra Archer bowled him in the 20th over of the innings and sent him to the pavilion. With this, Gayle is out for 99 for the first time in T20.
