Big twist in Bihar elections: Nitish Kumar disappears from BJP posters

Patna: There are only three days left till the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections.
However, in the meantime, the BJP has left out Nitish by posting Modi's picture in massive posters all over the state. Political pundits believe that the BJP now wants to seek votes only in Modi's name instead of Nitish, known as the Good Governance Babu.

BJP has given full page ads in most of the local newspapers in Bihar today. Nitish Kumar is also missing. With Modi coming to campaign ahead of the second phase of polls on October 28, the BJP's decision has already sparked speculation among political pundits.

The poster, which has been put up by the BJP, mentions seven issues that will be worked on if an NDA government is formed. In the eighth issue, 'BJP hai, to bharosa hai' has been given a place.

According to a JDU leader who is more satisfied with Modi's work than Nitish , BJP leaders have also been included in his party's posters. It features both Modi and Nitish Kumar. However, the BJP's decision is the exact opposite of that of the JDU. The matter has become so sensitive that neither the BJP nor the JDU leader is ready to comment on it. A JDU leader, speaking on condition of anonymity, also said that the BJP had made the situation more difficult.

When contacted, a BJP leader and a candidate who is currently contesting the elections declined to comment, saying the decision was the party's.

In Bihar, Modi along with Nitish held rallies in Sasaram, Gaya and Bhagalpur on October 23. Now they are scheduled to hold 3-3 more rallies on November 1 and November 3. According to current plans, Nitish Kumar will be present with Modi at a rally in Patna on October 28.
