Akshay Kumar's next film 'Lakshmi Bomb' has been renamed 'Lakshmi'. There was an uproar over the title of the film and people are talking about boycotting the film. Even before the release of the trailer of the film 'Lakshmi Bomb', people had come out against it. #BanLaxmiBomb started trending on social media.
The film went for censor certification on Thursday and was discussed with the CBFC after its screening. Keeping in mind the sentiments of the audience, the film's producers Shabina Khan, Tusshar Kapoor and Akshay Kumar have decided to make the title 'Lakshmi'. That is why this horror-comedy film is now named 'Lakshmi'.
It may be mentioned that the film 'Lakshmi Bomb' has been accused by some people that it promotes love jihad. At the same time, a class has objected to its name 'Lakshmi Bomb' and declared it against Hinduism. Shri Rajput Karni Sena also issued a legal notice to the makers of the film regarding the title of the film.
Director Raghav Lawrence said about 'Lakshmi Bomb' that by the grace of God this character comes like the blast of the film so we have named the film 'Lakshmi Bomb'. Just like Lakshmi never misses a bomb blast, the main character of this film is transgender and he is very powerful.
