A London hospital was told to be ready for the corona vaccine in November

LONDON: Staff at a major hospital in the British capital, London, have been instructed to be ready for the first batch of corona vaccines by November.
According to a report in The Sun, Oxford Uni. And a shot of the vaccine being developed by AstraZeneca may be available by November.

The Sun also claims that the hospital has been told to make preparations by October 2. With more than 1.1 million deaths from corona worldwide so far, the Oxford vaccine could prove to be a game changer in the fight against the virus.

Called AZD1222 or ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, the vaccine was developed by Oxford University scientists in April in collaboration with a pharma company called AstraZeneca. The British company has also made deals with companies in different countries to make the vaccine available in different countries of the world.

The Pune-based company Serum Institute is producing it in India, and a third phase trial of the vaccine is currently underway in India. Russia claims to have made the corona vaccine in the world. Other than that if any vaccine is in the most advanced stage it is the Oxford vaccine.

The vaccine could protect against corona for up to a year, its CEO Pascal Soriot said in June.

According to a report published in the Financial Times on Monday, the initial results of the vaccine have also been applied to the elderly. However, it also stated that the positive immunogenicity test does not guarantee 100% that the vaccine is capable of developing immunity against corona in the elderly.

Preparations have also started in India.

Although the corona vaccine has not yet arrived, the Indian government has already started preparations for the vaccination. According to a Bloomberg report, the government has set aside about Rs 51,000 crore for vaccinations across the country. The PM Modi administration estimates that the cost of vaccinating a person can be around Rs 450 to Rs 550. The vaccination program is going to be very expensive for the country's 130 crore population.

The government has said that one person will have to give two injections and the cost of one injection will be around Rs 150. Another Rs 150-250 is set aside for infrastructure costs like storage and transport. In a recent message to his nation, PM Modi said that India was working hard to make the corona vaccine reach every Indian. The government has recently launched a massive campaign to set up cold storage chains so that vaccines can be delivered across the country quickly.
