The drugs angle came out in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. After which a team from the Narcotics Bureau joined the investigation. The Bureau of Narcotics Control arrested Riya Chakraborty's brother Shovik Chakraborty and Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda on Friday night after apprehending five drug peddlers. On Friday morning, the NCB raided Rhea and Samuel's home. After which Shovik and Samuel were taken away and arrested at night. Now that Shovik Chakraborty has been arrested, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh has reacted to the issue.
In an interview to Zoom TV, Vikas Singh said, "This is just the beginning. Just think what the Mumbai Police was hiding. The matter is yet to come out." According to the report, when the drug angle came up in Sushant's death case, Rihanna's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that bail was granted in the narcotics case. According to the report, Vikas Singh at the time said, "I don't know what to say about him if he says narcotics crime is bailable."
Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shovik's drug chat went viral on social media. In which they were ordering drugs for Sushant. Sushant's family has alleged that Riya was giving him drugs. Riya then said in an interview to a channel that Sushant was already smoking marijuana before he met her. In this case, in addition to the five drug peddlers, the NCB arrested another drug peddler named Kaizan yesterday. Kaizan was also supplying drugs to Shovik.
Importantly, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating Sushant's case from the angle of money laundering, provided information about drugs to the Bureau of Narcotics Control. The ED found a drug chat from Rihanna's phone in which she was ordering for Sushant. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his home on June 14.
