New Delhi: Hyderabad-based electric vehicle company Atumobile Pvt Ltd has come up with a hefty electric bike. The name of this electric bike is Atom 1.0. The base price of the bike is Rs 50,000. The Atum 1.0 is a valid low-speed electric bike from the International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT). No registration or driving license is required for this electric bike. This electric bike is designed keeping in mind the needs of Indian consumers.
The
Atom 1.0 electric bike is powered by a portable lithium ion battery with a range of 100 km after a full charge . Which is charged in four hours. The company claims that the bike has a range of 100 kilometers when fully charged. This electric bike comes with a 2 year battery warranty as well as is available in many colors. The Atum 1.0 electric bike comes with a lightweight portable battery pack of 6 kg. Due to the easy to carry design of the bike, users can charge it anytime using a normal three-pin socket.
Costing Rs 7-10 per 100 km The
company claims that this bike consumes about 1 unit of electricity on a single charge. Which means the bike can run 100 kilometers for 7-10 rupees. According to the company, a 100 km bike in a traditional ICE bike costs around Rs 80-100 per day. Electric bikes are given 20X4 fat-bike tires. The bike has low seat height, LED headlights, indicators, taillights and a full digital display. The Atom 1.0 electric bike is built after a 3 year development cycle.
The Atum 1.0 electric bike has been manufactured by the company at its Green Field manufacturing plant in Telangana. The production capacity of this plant is 15,000 units. Which can still be increased to 10,000 units.
