Students were also leaving hostel rooms as colleges and universities were closed due to the lockdown. A student in Teva forgot to close the window of his flat in the university hostel and was on his way home. When he returned to the room six months later, he was shocked to see her condition. Oluvajiorj Johnson, 20, forgot to close the window of his room in Nottingham before the lockdown was announced in March. When he returned after the lockdown was over, the room was in a state of disrepair.
The whole room was filled with pigeon droppings
According to the Daily Mail, Johnson received a mail last week in which hostel staff said his flat was filled with pigeon droppings. Not only that, the pigeon has laid eggs in the sink and its cubs are in its clothes. Staff told Johnson that a strange noise was coming from his room. Which is why they found all this while checking the room.
Never keep the window open anymore
Johnson, a media and communications student, is from Enfield, North London. "I wish I didn't have to see it myself," he said. Only then will I be able to sleep at night. I wanted to see the university last week but now I will wait a bit. I will never leave the window open again. Everyone is shocked by this.
My parents called me home
“My parents called me home because of the corona virus,” Johnson said. People were saying that the military had been deployed and so my parents were scared. I left with my window open and it had been five months since I left. It is noteworthy that the window of the room remained open for five months and the pigeons have ruined the condition of the whole room.
