VARANASI: The Varanasi daughter Shivangi Singh has shown the world that women can also do things from every major. Truly said, Shivangi Singh is an example of women empowerment. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh is going to become the first female pilot of a Rafale among the best-in-class war planes in the world.
As Rafale replaces the MiG-21 Bison in the Indian Air Force fleet, Shivangi will enter the role. Since the arrival of the Rafale fleet from France to India, there was a discussion about which fighter pilot would fly it. There were discussions about whether or not there would be women pilots with men.
Now this discussion grew up in Benaras and Shivangi, who has done NCC from BHU, has stopped. Shivangi has the privilege of becoming the first female fighter pilot of the Rafale Squadron of the Indian Air Force. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh, who completed her studies from Banaras Hindu University, is part of the second batch of women pilots commissioned in 2017.
The Indian Air Force has 10 women pilots flying the fighter plane who have undergone rigorous training to fly supersonic jets. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh was earlier stationed at the Forward Fighter Base in Rajasthan where he flew with Wing Commander Abhinandan Current.
Flight Lt. Shivangi Singh, a native of Varanasi district, is currently under training. Soon Shivangi will join the 17 Squadron Golden Arrow in Ambala. Shivangi's father was proud of his daughter Shivangi's achievement and said, he had dreams of flying from his childhood. We are proud that along with our daughter Banaras, we will bring laurels to the country.
