New Delhi: Hello! My colleague in the Cabinet, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank ji, the Minister of Education of the country, Shri Sanjay Dhotre ji, Dr. Kasturi Rangan ji, Chairman of the committee that formulated the draft National Education Policy, respected members of his team, are participating in this special conference. Scholars, principals, teachers, ladies and gentlemen from all states, today we are all part of a moment that is laying the foundation for building the future of our country. This is a moment in which the seeds of the creation of the new era lie. The National Education Policy is going to give a new direction to 21st century India.
Friends, every region of the world has changed in the last three decades. Every system has changed. There is hardly any aspect of our life in these three decades which is the same as before. But the path on which society moves towards the future, our education system, it was still running on the old pattern. Changing the old education system was as important as replacing a damaged blackboard.
Like every school has a pin-up board. You put all the necessary papers, school orders, children's paintings etc. This board is also filled every few times. On that pin-up board, you have to make changes to put new paintings of new children of the new class.
The new National Education Policy is also a powerful medium for meeting new India, new expectations, new requirements. Behind it is the hard work of the last four-five years, people of every field, every genre, every language have worked on it day and night. But this work has not been completed yet. Rather, the real work has started now. Now we have to implement the National Education Policy in the same effective manner. And we will do this work together. I know, after the announcement of the National Education Policy many questions are coming in the mind of many of you.
What is this education policy? How is it different? What will change in the system of schools and colleges from this? What is there for a teacher in this education policy? What is a student for? And most importantly, what to do to implement it successfully, how to do it? These questions are legitimate as well as necessary. And that's why we have all gathered here in this program so that we can discuss, make way forward. I have been told that all of you have churned and discussed these things for hours throughout the day.
Teachers can prepare learning material according to their own, children can build their own toy museum, there should be a community library in the school to add parents, multilingual dictionary with pictures, kitchen garden in school, how many such topics have been talked about, Many new ideas have been given. I am happy that our principals and teachers are enthusiastically participating in this campaign to implement the National Education Policy.
Just a few days ago, the Ministry of Education had also asked teachers from across the country about their implementation of the National Education Policy on the Mygov portal. More than 1.5 million suggestions have been received within a week. These suggestions will help in implementing the National Education Policy in a more effective manner. To bring more awareness in this subject, the Ministry of Education is running several programs.
Colleagues , old 10 Plus 2 Place in the National Policy on Education, 5 Plus 3 Plus 3 Plus 4 arrangement went to understand very Soc-. It includes Early Childhood Care and Education as a foundation, as a foundation. Today, if we see, the playful education of the pre-school is limited to private schools in cities. She will now reach villages, reach the poor's house, get rich, village-town, children of everyone, everywhere. Focus on basic education is the most important aspect of this policy.
