Pathankot reached former cricketer Suresh Raina

Pathankot: Former Indian team cricketer Suresh Raina has reached his aunt's home in village Thariyal in Pathankot district. Recently, Raina's uncle Ashok Kumar and his son Kaushal were brutally murdered by criminals. Now Raina has come to meet his aunt. While Raina was in Dubai for the IPL, at the same time, his aunt's house in Punjab was attacked by miscreants, in which his uncle Ashok died during the incident.

At the same time, his brother was also killed, while his aunt was also injured in this attack. Let me tell you that on the night of August 19 last month, unknown miscreants attacked the sleeping family of Raina's fuffa contractor Ashok in the village Thariyal of Pathankot district with sharp weapons.

Police have registered a case under unknown sections including murder on unknown people. Raina tweeted from his official handle and appealed to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to investigate the matter. The DGP formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) following the Punjab Chief Minister's order as soon as the news of the incident was received.

The SIT is headed by IG Border Range (Amritsar) SPS Parmar. In this, SSP of Pathankot, Gulneet Singh Khurana and SP Investigation Prabhjot Singh Virk and DSP Ravinder Singh of Dhakaralan (Pathankot) are included. ADGP Law and Order Ishwar Singh has been tasked to supervise the investigation every day.

The mobile phone which was found by the police in the search operation conducted in Thariyal and surrounding areas was rusty. In this case, the probability of getting any clue from him is quite low. The police have handed over the phone to the forensic team. Police have expanded the scope of the inquiry to reach the attackers.

The place near the Tharalal Chowk has been replaced by a block near the village. Officials say that the incident has not been done in the area like Thariyal village and hence the location of the block has been changed. Since this dreadful incident, the people of the village have been afraid and are guarding themselves at night. Since this incident, cricketer Suresh Raina has also withdrawn his name from IPL. When he was asked the reason for not playing this season, he did not give any statement describing it as a personal matter.
