The Indian Council of Medical Research, working under the Ministry of Health, has made major changes to the testing strategy to control coronary heart disease. Until now, people used to undergo corona test on the advice of doctors and district administration, but now anyone can have it. In a new advisory released on Friday, the ICMR clarified that if a state wishes, it can request a cod negative report from residents of other states coming there.
It is believed that such advice has been given by ICMR so that there is no problem in services like railways and air travel. People moving from one state to another may have to undergo corona tests. However, no state has yet issued any directive in this regard.
Health workers need to be
tested In order to make the testing strategy a success, the advice issued on Friday under four categories said that health workers working in containment zones should be tested. They can get themselves examined if they have any symptoms. In addition to those who have traveled internationally in the last 14 days, there will also be investigations in addition to symptomatic.
People suffering from serious respiratory illnesses will be examined in hospitals. At the same time, all the people present in the healthcare center will be tested. It is said that the strategy of contact, tracing and tracking should be adopted by the health department during this whole process.
According to the ICMR guidelines 'Advisory on Covid-19 Strategy in India', a person should undergo RT-PCR test if he / she develops some symptoms after coming negative for Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). According to the latest update, India ranks third in the list of countries most affected by the corona virus. More than 4 million corona cases have been reported in India.
The guidelines state that people living in the containment zone should be tested 100 percent rapid antigen. Especially in cities where coronavirus infections are more prevalent. No pregnant woman should be delayed in the emergency procedure due to lack of tests. A pregnant woman should not be referred to another hospital due to lack of testing.
