Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) has a membership fee of Rs 1,800 left on former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and this amount could give rise to a big controversy. However, some school students and fans of the legendary Dhoni tried to collect the draft and hand it over to the JSCA after collecting the money.
However, it was not accepted when a group of people led by former cricketer and activist Shesh Nath Pathak tried to get the draft filed at the JSCA registered office in Jamshedpur on Saturday.
JSCA secretary Sanjay Sahai confirmed to IANS that the draft was not accepted but did not say whether Dhoni had paid his dues. He even claimed that only he knew the truth about this.
The recently published JSCA Annual Report 2019-20 mentions the outstanding of Rs 1,800. However, the report has not given any other details of the outstanding amount, except that it was said to be receivable from one of the most successful captains of India in Ranchi.
Later, Sahai clarified that it was actually the GST amount that Dhoni would have to pay as his JSCA life membership fee of Rs 10,000.
Pathak said that when he went to deposit the check at JSCA's registered headquarters at Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur, it was not accepted. Pathak has been known to protest against alleged irregularities in JSCA.
He told IANS, "Some schoolchildren and Dhoni fans collected money and made a draft of Rs 1,800. But when I, along with some others, went to the JSCA office to deposit it, they refused to take it Dia, probably on someone's instructions. They gave us a receipt and advised that we could send it by post. "
Asked if Dhoni has deposited his dues, Sahay said, "I cannot tell you this. It will be said only by him. The issue is between us (JSCA) and the person to whom the dues are paid." Is. The annual report of the JSCA is as of 31 March 2020. Who knows they have paid their dues after 31 March? Only I know, no one else knows it. It is an internal matter of the union. Therefore, it is called the union. Leave it at that. "
It is being said in Jharkhand cricket that the JSCA representative at his AGM on October 31 had visited Dhoni's home in Ranchi for a membership fee of Rs 10,000 after accepting that position. The representative accused Dhoni's supporters that a check of Rs 11,800, including GST, could be sought on a life membership fee of Rs 10,000.
Sahai said that he was not aware of it. He said, "I have no idea about this, so I won't be able to say anything on this. But, yes, Dhoni has been informed (about his dues)."
