The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) is going to start the Jharkhand Premier League from September 15, in which six teams will participate. As per ESPNcreinfo's report, several JSCA cricketers were informed of their selection for the league and were also sent forms to register themselves to play in the league. These cricketers have been asked to report at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi so that they can have the Kovid-19 Test.
It is believed that all matches of the Jharkhand Premier League will be played at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi.
The report further states that though it is not clear whether the league is recognized by the BCCI. But in the letter sent by the JSCA to the players, it has been said that it is related to the BCCI.
JSCA has also tied up with two main sponsors for this league.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph quoted JSCA secretary Sanjay Sahai as saying, "A total of six teams will play in the league, which will represent six different zones of the state. These six teams include Ranchi Raiders, Dumka Daredevils, Dhanbad Dynamos, Singhbhum Strikers, Jamshedpur Jaglars and Bokaro Blasters teams. "
"These teams will consist of the same players who are registered with the Union of Jharkhand state. There will be no franchise or team owner. There will be around 100 players participating in the league," he said.
