New Delhi: A dispute has been going on between India and China for the past several months. China is not constantly outbid by its antics. In such a situation, India has given a strong message to China. India has clearly told China that our soldiers will not hesitate to fire if needed.
On the other hand, at the UN meeting, Chinese President Ji Ziping said that he does not want any war with India. India has challenged China and said that our soldiers can go to any extent to protect themselves and to protect their border in East Ladakh. India told China in a very clean language that if the situation in the region gets out of control, then our soldiers will not hesitate to fire.
An official has informed that a clear message has been given to China that no action will be tolerated at all. They have been clearly explained that if traditional weapons were used by Chinese soldiers, then Indian soldiers would not delay in firing.
Significantly, when the PLA tried to remove several strategic peaks achieved in Pangong So-Chushul on the night of 29-30 August, the Indian Army team fired at least four bullets for warning. The PLA has done nothing since then, but the atmosphere is tense.
India is constantly insisting on LAC restoring the status quo. In all kinds of talks, India has put the condition before China to withdraw from the border of Ladakh before reaching any conclusion. At present, after consolidating its position on several important peaks associated with East Ladakh, India's strategy is to anticipate China's future stance.
In fact, China has so far agreed to restore the status quo on LAC and withdraw its army in all the talks, but it has not followed these ground level agreements.
