Even though there is no air and water on the moon, an ongoing event has surprised scientists.

Hawaii:
Humans are trying to get to the moon and there is corrosion on the moon. Scientists are surprised to see that there is no air and liquid water on the moon. Shuai Li of the University of Hawaii and his colleagues have found data that iron oxide is similar to hematite. It is a type of corrosion, which occurs in the presence of oxygen and water. Lee says the moon's atmosphere is not suitable for corrosion.

Iron requires an oxidizer to corrode, but the air coming from the sun causes hydrogen to remain on the lunar surface, which is a reducer unlike an oxidizer. Instead of attaching electrons to the iron, it removes electrons from it.

So how does corrosion feel?
Researchers say that the oxygen on the moon has reached the Earth's atmosphere. This is due to the earth's magnetic field. Due to the Earth's vast magnetic field, the hydrogen-laden air emitted from the sun cannot prevent corrosion.

When the moon passes through a magnetotile in its orbit, hydrogen from the sun cannot reach it and corrodes. Researchers also believe that the ice on the moon, when exposed to the dust of space, combines with iron to produce corrosion. Based on this theory the presence of hematite on asteroids can also be understood. However, research is still needed.
