Srinagar: An encounter between militants and security forces started in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. In which the news of injuries to an army officer is coming.
The area is sealed. A police officer said that on receiving intelligence about the presence of the terrorists, the security forces started a siege operation in Yedipora of Pattan area of Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
The army officer said that the militants opened fire on the security forces, which turned the search operation into an encounter. Security forces also responded to the firing of terrorists. The army officer informed that an army officer was injured in the initial firing. He has been admitted to 92 Base Hospital for treatment.
He said that the encounter between the security forces and the militants is going on right now and additional force has also been sent on the spot. No more information has been received in this matter yet. It is being told that two or three terrorists are present in the area. Additional security forces and police personnel have been deployed in the vicinity to maintain law and order.
