Police have busted an interstate gang of drug traffickers in Gautabuddhanagar district adjoining Delhi. Police arrested six people from Greater Noida in this raid and seized about 400 kg of charas and ganja worth more than Rs 3 crore from them. Police officials gave this information yesterday.
According to police officials, the police station Beta-2 police busted the gang in Greater Noida on Wednesday and has tightened its narcotics supply in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and western Uttar Pradesh. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh informed that Radhakishan, Moolchand, alias Moola, Shivam Sharma, Tarun Chaudhary, Kapil and Naeem have been arrested on the basis of an information by the police station Beta-2.
A police spokesperson informed the media that the police have seized 172 kg of cannabis, 176 kg of cannabis, 11 kg of charas and 42 kg of doda from these arrested people. Its price is being said to be around three crores. An illegal weapon was also recovered from Tarun Chaudhary from the arrested accused.
During the interrogation, police have also received shocking information that the accused told that these people have been involved in the business of selling narcotics for a long time and they have also acquired property worth crores of rupees by selling narcotics. He said that the police is questioning them deeply.
He said that the police have registered a case against the accused at the Beta-2 police station. All the accused will be punished severely in the crime of selling drugs. They will also be interrogated, if they have any other partners, who are doing this business.
