The T20 tournament is currently being played in England, which started on 27 August and the final will be played on 3 October. England all-rounder David Wiley is captaining the Yorkshire Vikings in this T20 tournament.
Willie turned down an offer to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 to captain the Yorkshire team. This is because both the tournaments will be held at the same time.
Willie told The Yorkshire Post, "I was offered to play in the IPL. But there was a problem of T20 Blast and IPL dates. So I said that I will be available after the blast is over. I wanted to captain Yorkshire and it would be nice if I get a chance to play in the IPL after that. ”
However, he did not say from which team he received the offer.
Willie also said that he also had problems that he could not stay away from his family for much longer.
Let us know that from September 19, the 13th season of the IPL will start hosting the UAE. All matches of the tournament will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjha. The final match will be held on 10 November.
Willy was part of the Chennai Super Kings team in IPL 2018. He took 2 wickets for Chennai playing 3 matches. He was dropped by Chennai before the auction of this season.
