New Delhi: New information about the global epidemic corona virus is coming out. The World Health Organization WHO had earlier reported that the symptoms of corona virus were fever, cold and cough but now the symptoms of corona infection are not just fever and cold-cough. Rather, the corona virus can now enter our body in different ways.
Recent research has revealed that to protect against corona virus, oral hygiene, along with masks and social distancing, will also have to be taken care of. Dr. Amrita Chawla of CDR branch of Delhi AIIMS has told that the virus can reach the body through saliva along with bacteria.
He said that people take long journeys in epidemics, they have masks on their faces. Due to this, the formation of saliva is reduced considerably. Poor oral hygiene was also considered as a reason for the elderly to suffer from pneumonia. This may also be true for the Kovid-19. It is believed that more than 50 percent of the deaths in corona cases are due to bacterial super infection.
Fragments of food between the teeth increase the number of bacteria that stick to the upper surface of the teeth gums and tongue. The risk of infection increases due to food being trapped and mouth temperature not exceeding 27 to 30 degrees Celsius. Due to this, not only the corona virus enters our body but also increases the number of viruses going inside the body.
To avoid this, clean the teeth thoroughly before traveling. Rinse with salt water. Clean the nose. If you eat and drink during the journey, brush immediately. A clean and healthy mouth reduces the risk of viral infection.
