Accused gets bail on condition of marrying rape victim

Indore:
The bench of Indore High Court of Madhya Pradesh has given a shocking verdict. The Indore High Court has granted bail to the accused in the jail on the condition of marrying the victim. The court while delivering its verdict said that he should marry the victim woman and also present its documents within two months. If he is not able to do so, the bail itself will be revoked. This decision of the High Court is being discussed in the entire city.

This whole matter is of Dewas district. In 2017, there was a love relation between the accused and the victim. The woman divorced her husband in January 2020 after being accused. The accused made physical relations with the victim and divorced the woman from her husband, promising to marry. He later refused to marry.

On this, the woman lodged a rape report on him. The accused had earlier filed for bail in the District and Sessions Court. An appeal was filed in the High Court after the application was dismissed from there. Advocate Sudhanshu Vyasane told that the victim was married. The accused implicated the woman in her trap and formed a relationship with her and divorced her husband by promising to marry.

When the woman got divorced, the accused refused to marry her. The woman filed a case against him under the sections of rape. Dewas police arrested the accused and sent him to jail. Now the accused has proposed to marry the woman in the bail application. The woman has also given a letter in the court saying that she is ready to marry the accused.

He has no objection even to his bail. The court then granted him conditional bail and asked him to marry the victim and produce his documents in court within two months. If the accused does not do so, the bail will be canceled.
