Mumbai: Ashalata Wabgaonkar, a famous actress in television and films, died this morning. Ashalata Wabgaonkar was 79 years old. Recently he was found infected with Corona virus, after which he was admitted to a hospital in Satara where he breathed his last this morning and said goodbye to the world forever.
According to the information received, Ashalata was shooting for a Marathi TV serial I Kalubai in Satara itself. During this time, 20 crew members of this serial along with Aashalata were found to be Corona positive. After this he was admitted to the hospital, where despite all the efforts, he could not be saved and eventually the corona virus killed him.
Please tell Ashalata Wabgaonkar was a famous and veteran actress. He started his career in theater. Initially, Ashalata used to do theater in Marathi and Konkani languages. He acted in more than 100 Hindi and Marathi films. Ashalata made her Bollywood debut with Basu Chatterjee's film Aparai.
After this, he never looked back. He showed his acting skills in films like Ankush, Ahista-Ahista, Woh Saat Din, Namak Halal. Hearing the news of Ashalata's demise, there has been a wave of sorrow from the TV industry to the film industry.
Expressing grief over his demise, actor Ashok Saraf said, "We had made a debut in the Marathi entertainment industry together." She played the lead role and was awarded the Best Actress Award for her debut at the Maharashtra State Competition. We had taken training with filmmaker Gopinath Savkar. Savarkar was our guru and Ashalata was like my sister. Today I lost my sister.
