New Delhi: A total of 9 terrorists were arrested from Bengal and Kerala by the National Investigation Agency, ie NIA. It is being told that all the terrorists arrested are from Al Qaeda. According to the information received, 6 terrorists have been caught from Murshidabad in West Bengal and 3 from Ernakulam in Kerala.
For this, the NIA team raided several locations. According to the information received, a large amount of objectionable material including digital equipment, documents, jihadi literature, sharpened weapons, indigenous weapons, documents related to making explosive devices at home have been recovered from the arrested terrorists.
According to the information received, the NIA team came to know about the interstate modules of Al Qaeda in many states of the country. The group was plotting terrorist attacks at important places in India with the aim of killing innocent people. Some members of the terrorists were planning to travel to New Delhi to purchase arms and ammunition. His arrest has led to prior reports of possible terrorist attacks in various parts of the country.
The NIA reported that according to preliminary investigations, these individuals were radicalized on social media by Pakistan-based Al Qaeda militants and motivated to carry out attacks in several places including the National Capital Region.
It is noteworthy that last month, Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested suspected ISIS terrorist Abu Yusuf alias Mustakim from Dhaulakuan during the encounter. Yusuf, a resident of Balrampur in UP, was plotting attacks in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. There was also a Ram temple being built in Ayodhya on the target of suspected terrorist.
